VIDEO: Army celebration on the National Mall

I’m Matt Delaney with The Washington Times.

We are here on the National Mall, right by Constitution Avenue in Northwest, watching as the parade goes by for the Army’s 250th anniversary celebration.

The theme of the day has been accessibility. People get to see these machines up close and personal and moving in action where most of us civilians, like myself and my videographer, David, don’t get to ever see that.

We get to touch and feel the weapons war that they use and the helicopters that they fly and stationary artillery that they use as well in combat situations.

So people of all ages and sizes gone out of the National Mall and got to touch and feel this equipment for what has been a very unique 250th anniversary celebration.
