A person was shot early Thursday by security guards outside the CIA headquarters in northern Virginia, according to reports.
A CIA spokesman told NBC News a “security incident” prompted the nonfatal shooting around 4 a.m. in Langley.
The agency closed its main gate following the incident and told employees to find an alternate route onto the federal property.
Fairfax County police said its officers have been managing traffic flow on the 900 block of Dolley Madison Boulevard in light of the gate closure.
