‘No Kings’ Dems Try Desperately to Revive Kennedy Dynasty … Again – HotAir

Chaser:

Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, announced he will run for Congress next year.

In a social media post late Tuesday, Schlossberg said he would be seeking the Democratic nomination to replace longtime Rep. Jerry Nadler in New York’s 12th Congressional District. Nadler, a leading liberal figure for the Democratic Party in Congress, said in September that he would not seek reelection. …

Schlossberg is the son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, and the nephew of the late John F. Kennedy Jr. He worked as a political correspondent for Vogue during the 2024 election, and he became a New York delegate to the Democratic National Convention after Kamala Harris replaced then-president Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee.

However, he is particularly well known as a social media personality with more than 1.5 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. He posts clips of himself singing the Beatles without a shirt on, reciting Lord Byron while riding a RipStik skateboard, or making political commentary.

The most amusing irony about this is the rejection of Robert Kennedy Jr by Democrats, both in the presidential primary when challenging a senile Joe Biden, and then even more vociferously after RFK Jr endorsed and campaigned for Trump. Schlossberg himself was particularly vocal in shunning his cousin. Some Kennedys are more equal than others, apparently.

At least the latest remake of Dynasty: Camelot stars an actual Kennedy this time. A few years ago, Robert Francis O’Rourke got the Kennedy treatment when he challenged Ted Cruz for the Senate in 2018, and then tossed his hat in the ring for the 2020 presidential primaries. O’Rourke flopped out of that contest (as did Kamala Harris), and then went on to get shellacked by Greg Abbott in the 2022 Texas gubernatorial election. Supposedly, O’Rourke plans another run at the Senate next year, but Beto won’t get the Annie Leibovitz treatment this time around.

Ironically. O’Rourke would have to go through the Democrats’ latest pretender to a throne in Texas. Jasmine Crockett is making her interest in the Senate race known, and the No Kings contingent are already prostrating themselves at her feet. Literally.

I kid you not, I was convinced that was an AI-generated video/photo — until Miller herself confirmed it:

But, er … No Kings, amirite?

The Left’s mouths say “No Kings,” but their knees and their lips say, “Rule me, progressive overlords.” They are so desperate to sell a monarchy that they’re trying to revive the dissipated Kennedy dynasty. If one considers their current talent, of course, that impulse is understandable — even while being completely hypocritical.
