Netflix raising prices for all 3 subscription tiers

Streaming platform Netflix is hiking its prices. The lowest subscription tier will cost $1 more and the other tiers $2 more monthly.

Netflix previously increased prices in early 2025. The standard tier with ads cost $7.99 monthly, without ads $17.99 and the premium plan $24.99. Now the three plans will cost $8.99, $19.99 and $26.99, respectively, each month.

In a statement, Netflix told Variety that “we continue offering a range of prices and plans to meet a variety of needs, and as we deliver more value to our members we are updating our prices to enable us to reinvest in quality entertainment and improve their experience by updating our prices.”

Compared with the standard plan with ads, where some movies and shows are unavailable, the standard tier without ads has access to the full Netflix catalogue. Both standard tiers allow for simultaneous viewing on two devices and streaming in high definition at 1080p resolution.

The standard plan without ads also lets subscribers add an extra member to their plan. The extra membership costs $7.99 with ads and $9.99 without. The extra members have their own logins, but the original plan holder handles payment for the extra member, per the Netflix website.

The premium plan offers 4K and high dynamic range resolution and Netflix spatial audio. The plan also lets users watch on two more devices at once and download to four more devices at once compared with the standard plan without ads, plus lets users add two extra members instead of just one.
