Antifa Disrupts Charlie Kirk Vigil in Boston, Arrests Made – PJ Media

Two members of the radical left-wing terrorist organization Antifa were arrested on Thursday night for disrupting a vigil in in Boston hanging conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated over a week ago at Utah Valley University during an on-campus event.

People gathered at Boston Common, many lighting candles to honor the fallen hero of the conservative movement. A group of Antifa protesters was separated from the vigil by barriers. Local law enforcement officers were present at the event, taking up positions on top of the statehouse and on the street.

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump revealed that he would be designating the left-wing extremist group as a terrorist organization.

One of the individuals arrested at the vigil was Joseph Antuan Castro Del Rio, 38. He has been charged with disorderly conduct.

The second person arrested was an underage male who was taken into custody for suspicion of assault and battery. At the time of his arrest, the male was armed with a knife. He will be charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

Del Rio was using a microphone and amplification device, which violates a Boston city ordinance, to try and shout down those participating in the vigil to honor Kirk. He was asked to leave several times, but refused to comply.

Leftists are putting their true colors on display in the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination. Many have celebrated his murder with vile posts on social media. This act by Antifa is an amplification of the hatred vitriol that’s being pushed online.

At this point, it has become clear this is more than just left versus right. These are not two valid political opinions. It’s good versus evil. And the difference between the two could not be more clear. The work to save the country cannot truly begin until this truth is acknowledged.

When police officers confronted Del Rio, he referred to them as “Nazis,” “fascists,” and “white supremacists.” He then continued to ignore their commands and was ultimately taken into custody.

Police said the underage male was yelling obscene, vulgar comments at the crowd gathered for the vigil. He was soon escorted from the area. As he was being taken away, he punched a person sporting a MAGA hat on the arm.

While conducting a routine search, police found the young man’s hunting knife.

Even if a person disagreed with someone who has been brutally murdered and despised everything he stood for, it is basic human decency to allow those who have lost someone they admired to express their grief in peace, without being disrupted by morally bankrupt insurgents. These two individuals seem to be sorely lacking such decency.

Protesters also interrupted another vigil held at New York University and hosted by the College Republicans chapter on campus just a few days ago. The angry mob disrupted the event by singing the so-called “antifascist” song that was engraved on one of the bullets that belonged to Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson.

Threats were also made on the life of NYU College Republican Club President Ryan Leonard.
