SQUEEE!!!!
This is going to be so much fun, and Kathy Hochul, New York’s accidental idiot governor, is such a blithering mah-roon, I can’t wait.
I CAN’T WAIT
NY Republican congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who had been Trump’s United Nations ambassador nominee until they belatedly realized they needed her more at home than they did in Turtle Bay, has officially turned her eyes on winning the governorship of the Empire State.

And you do not want to go in unarmed against this girlfriend in the battle of wits.
She’s already blazing away against Hochul.
🚨@EliseStefanik: “Kathy Hochul will bend the knee to Mamdani.”

She’s also talking kitchen table talk, which is where she needs to be, as does the Trump administration.
New Yorkers are fixin’ to get slammed with up to $800 a year utility rate hikes, all thanks to Hochul and their ludicrous insistence on a ruininously expensive, unreliable, unrealistic green transition. Stefanik zeroed in on that.
New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Elise Stefanik launched a broadside this week against Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul’s energy policies.
She criticized Hochul’s continued ban on fossil fuel exploration and her broader record on the energy sector as state utilities announced another major rate hike for homeowners.
The New York State Public Service Commission announced several utility companies have proposed monthly delivery charge increases ranging from 34% to 48%, according to reports in multiple upstate news outlets.
Stefanik, a North Country congresswoman who is the first major candidate to challenge the incumbent, cited reports in upstate media that New Yorkers must again brace for approximately 40% hikes in utility costs in 2026, an increase of $800 to 1,000 for most residents, she said.
“Kathy Hochul’s billion-dollar Green New Deal policies that ban gas stoves and ban natural gas fracking are already driving up New York’s energy costs, which are the most expensive in the country,” Stefanik said.
Hochul may have already taken one more step towards screwing New Yorkers over. In the headlines today, I have a story about a natural gas pipeline that New York just approved.
One pipeline.
Hochul did it under duress and claims she’s ‘at war’ with the Trump administration over energy policy. This pipeline was part of the deal that released the hold the Interior Department had on her Empire Wind offshore farm project.
New York environmental regulators on Friday approved a major Trump-backed underwater gas pipeline in a U-turn for state energy policy.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued crucial water permits for the Northeast Supply Enhancement project, which it had rejected three times in the past.
At the same time, the DEC announced that the even larger Constitution pipeline, slated to cross New York into New England, would not move ahead. Both pipelines were priorities for President Donald Trump, who railed against Governor Kathy Hochul on social media earlier this week for moving too slowly on the projects.
Hochul said she stood by the DEC’s decisions.
“We need to govern in reality,” she said in a statement Friday. “We are facing war against clean energy from Washington Republicans, including our New York delegation, which is why we have adopted an all-of-the-above approach that includes a continued commitment to renewables and nuclear power to ensure grid reliability and affordability.”
But it’s not the whole deal. There was another larger pipeline, the Constitution, which would have crossed NY into New England, and Hochul refuses to budge on it.
I do not know if I’d be poking the orange bear if I were her.
And her ‘adopted all of the above approach’ is such a flagrant lie, as anyone who’s been reading my posts for the past couple of years knows. She and her state departments have gone out of their way to destroy the fossil fuel industry and shut down whatever nuclear reactors they can. They have been on a California-type climate cult tear, only on less steroids.
And right now, thanks to Hochul’s miserable management skills, Stefanik is charging out of the gate in front.

It’s a long way to next November.
Kathy Hochul is the Worst Governor in America. Under her failed leadership, New York is the most unaffordable state in the nation with the highest taxes, highest energy, utilities, rent, and grocery bills. But Hochul has to make the trip, too, and she’s got the wind in her face, for sure.
Plus a new commie mayor in the needy city that drives everything in the state.
Like I said, this is gonna be fun, and I can’t wait.
