Mamdani Wins – PJ Media

Radical socialist, pro-jihad Democrat candidate Zohran Mamdani has reportedly fulfilled the worst expectations of patriotic Americans in winning the New York City mayoral race, according to an early call from DDHQ with about two-thirds of the vote in.

Mamdani was up against Democrat Andrew Cuomo, Republican Curtis Sliwa, and WalkAway movement founder Brandon Straka. Mamdani’s win is a loss for New York and the country. The final results of the race are not yet in, but most outlets believe Mamdani’s lead cannot be closed by Cuomo. Polls closed less than an hour ago, with some voters still waiting to cast ballots.

Mamdani’s scandals include calling to defund the police in 2020 and bragging about coordination with an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator imam whose son was training child jihadis. His win will undoubtedly be a catastrophe for Jewish residents of the city, especially Orthodox Jews.

In 2021, Mamdani told the Democratic Socialists of America that he not only supports socialist programs like Medicare and canceling student debt, but that he has “the end goal of seizing the means of production.” That’s literally right out of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto. Mamdani also called for an end to private property this year.

In 2023, soon before Hamas committed the worst day of slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust, Mamdani attended a rally at which he demanded that New York City defund and divest from Israel. This year, Mamdani even reportedly helped fundraise for the United Nations agency that is absolutely infested with Palestinian terrorists, including dozens whoparticipated in the Oct. 7 atrocities.

Of course, Andrew Cuomo was hardly the ideal alternative to challenged Mamdani. No doubt we all remember his catastrophic mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the nursing home scandal. He was simply somewhat less openly radical and Islamist than Mamdani, hence even many Republicans hoped he would win.

Curtis Sliwa and Brandon Straka were both promising candidates, but unfortunately Republicans as a party have not mounted a major campaign in deep blue New York in years.

If there is one thing we have learned from this election night, it is that Republicans need to take the Democratic Party much more seriously. They are most certainly not over as a national party, and they are bent hell for leather on winning as many elections as they can. Ahead of the 2026 midterms, we need to buckle down and pour our resources and time into getting out the vote.
