Nobel Peace Prize for Trump?

Come on, man. It is NEVER going to happen.

Trump could end every war in the world and stand astride the world as the enforcer of global peace and bringer of prosperity to the poorest countries, and the Norwegian Nobel Committee would give Ayatollah Khamenei the prize for reshaping world affairs by giving up his ambitions to destroy America and Israel.

Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize for…existing, as far as I can tell…and when the Cold War ended with an American victory, the prize was awarded to Mikhail Gorbachev. Yasser Arafat was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1994 for the Oslo Accords–despite the fact that the Palestinians had continued their genocidal attacks on Israel–and Al Gore got it for bitching about carbon dioxide and cow farts.

Jimmy Carter–who created the Iranian regime that threatens world peace and has done so for half a century–received the prize. Lots of people and organizations have gotten the Prize for talking about the elimination of nuclear weapons while utterly failing to achieve that goal.

The Nobel Peace Prize is the award equivalent of The Union of Concerned Scientists’ “Doomsday Clock.” It is the equivalent of an emotion-driven grunt expressing the approval of a small clique of self-absorbed people who love getting attention for no discernibly good reason.

Hoping to get the Peace Prize is no different than begging for approval from the globalists.

I don’t know if, as some argue, Trump is lusting for a Nobel Prize.

People spend a lot of time and effort trying to mind-read Trump, so it’s pointless to speculate on such things.

But the many, many people who seem to think that Trump should get the prize are ignoring the fact that begging for that is as significant as begging for the Union of Concerned Scientists to move the second or minute hand back from noon on the doomsday clock is pointless. It’s like asking Michael Mann to admit that he fudges the global warming numbers.

Why bother?
