“The Chosen,” the hit streaming series about the life of Jesus, has announced that season 6 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 15, Deadline reports.
The season will launch with three episodes, followed by one episode per week through Dec. 6, with the finale releasing theatrically in spring 2027.
Season 6 will center on the final hours of Jesus’ life through the eyes of his loved ones and foes.
Series creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins said the season was produced to explore not just what happened but the “why” of the crucifixion. He said the series deserved a full TV season and a standalone theatrical release.
The show will be released on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. and internationally, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
