Trump urges his supporters to boycott Bruce Springsteen concert tour

President Trump on Thursday urged his supporters to boycott Bruce Springsteen’s concert tour after the singer tore into the Trump administration and labeled America a “reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation” during a performance in Minneapolis.

“Bad and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a terrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Mr. Trump posted on Truth Social.

“The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a president who won a landslide election, including the popular vote, all seven swing states and 86% of the counties across America,” Mr. Trump wrote. “MAGA should boycott his overpriced concerns, which suck. Save your hard earned money.”

Mr. Springsteen took to the concert stage Tuesday night in Minneapolis and delivered a scathing message about the state of America and the Trump administration. During the opening night of his “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour,” the singer delivered four political speeches.

Critics have accused him of being anti-American, with some on social media deeming him a “traitor.”

“We are leaving through some dark times,” Mr. Springsteen told the crowd, according to Variety. “Our American values that have sustained us for 250 years are being challenged as never before. We’ve got our young men and women’s lives at risk in an unconstitutional and illegal war. This is happening now.

“There are immigrants being held in detention centers around the country and being deported without due process of law to alien countries and foreign gulags. This is happening now,” he said.

Mr. Springsteen then blasted Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice before directing his comments to the White House and Mr. Trump.

“While working Americans struggle, our president and his family enrich themselves by billions of dollars trading on the people’s office in corruption unmatched in American history. This is happening now,” he said.

“This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,” Mr. Springsteen said.

“To many, we are no longer looked upon as the often imperfect but strong defender of democracy standing for the global good. We are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory, rogue nation. That is this administration’s and this president’s legacy. This is happening now,” he said.

Some on social media blasted Mr. Springsteen, questioning how he could charge up to $800 for tickets and then present himself as a representative of working-class Americans, while others referred to him as “self-righteous” and a “traitor.”

Others praised him for his convictions and courage for calling out the administration.
