Another Illegal Alien Commits Murder in Sanctuary Fairfax County – PJ Media

Authorities in Fairfax County, Va., are infamous for protecting illegal alien criminals, even after they commit the most heinous crimes. That, of course, fuels crime, like the murder committed by a Guatemalan national this week in the sanctuary county.

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis explained, “Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was charged with second degree murder after repeatedly stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County. ICE is calling on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger [D] and Virginia’s sanctuary politicians to not release this murderer back into our communities.”

Federal authorities have not yet verified when or where Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy entered the United States, according to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security on March 31. This is not surprising. Already as of autumn 2023, an estimated two million “gotaways” or illegal aliens who escaped federal detection at the border had entered the United States under the Biden administration. And that, of course, was only an estimate. Since the number of border crossings increased in 2024, we honestly have no idea how many millions of illegal aliens the Biden administration didn’t even know were entering, on top of all the millions they welcomed.

From the DHS press release:

On March 30, 2026, detectives arrested Chavarria Muy in connection to a fatal stabbing of a man the day prior. According to local reports, officers found a man with multiple stab wounds inside a home in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene…Fairfax County has a history of refusing to honor immigration detainers. In late 2025, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador killed a man just a day after a Fairfax County jail failed to honor an immigration detainer ICE had placed on him.

Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano not only ignored the ICE detainer, but had ensured the dismissal of previous murder charges against the illegal alien — Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez — right before the latter committed his second murder.

Bis also noted that illegal alien crime in Fairfax County is an ongoing and deadly issue. “This incident comes just one month after an innocent woman was murdered by another criminal illegal alien at a bus stop in Spanberger’s state. Open-border policies yet again have caused another preventable tragedy,” Bis said.

Earlier this year, Sierra Leone national Abdul Jalloh was caught on surveillance camera stabbing Stephanie Minter at a bus stop. Not only were Fairfax authorities reluctant to honor the detainer request, but Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger openly defied ICE, taunting, “Get a judicial warrant.” She was proudly protecting a brutal illegal alien murderer from justice.

And as of March 13, Fairfax Sheriff Stacey Kincaid was seeking to release El Salvadoran Israel Flores Ortiz, an 18-year-old who attended a public high school in the Virginia County and repeatedly groped multiple girls throughout the school year. School authorities refused to address the issue for a long time, and Descano had joined forces with Kincaid to try to release Ortiz. Fortunately, a judge had to put a stop to that, at least temporarily. Because Virginia Democrats genuinely want as many illegal alien criminals on the streets as possible.
