As you would expect, Pravda is so far aligning with the Democratic Party take that this is an illegal war against a not particularly nice, but not at all dangerous group of avuncular clerics who are terribly misunderstood.
Certainly, they are not as bad as Trump, or God forbid, Scott Adams.

Some media figures are downright hostile, while others are cautious to the extent that they want to see which way the wind blows. But they are also creating wind breaks to ensure as much as possible that no good news about Operation Epic Fury escapes into the public realm.
Such as the producer of this local news show, who tried to get a reporter to ignore the fact that Persians in America were celebrating. He was supposed to only focus on the communists attacking Trump, but chose not to.

ABC seems to be among the worst players in Pravda, if you exclude M-SNOW (the old MSNBC). It has become not just the broadcaster of The View, but rather the news outlet for Whoopi Goldberg’s view of the world.

The New York Times and Washington Post did exactly what you would expect, eulogizing the worst people in the world as they drop like flies. We learn about the theater preferences of the Ayatollah, and about how the Iranians really don’t mean any of that “Death to Israel” or “Death to America” stuff.
While this paragraph is probably the worst, the entire Washington Post obituary of Khamenei, which is really just a hagiography, is riddled with astonishing distortions and absurd relativism. And it is a worldwide phenomenon, because the media is no longer regional, but driven by a transnational agenda. There is a class of internationalists who populate the political and cultural elites who are irredeemably hostile to Donald Trump, obviously, but also American leadership.

The hostility to Trump is based on his refusal to be controlled by them, even to the extent that he was during his first term.
Trump was much more likely to listen to the advice of establishment folks in his first term, but his exile from office during the Biden regency taught him many lessons, and obviously he took them to heart.

The extent to which journalists can control the narrative has been shrinking, and if Operation Epic Fury turns out to be as successful as it could and should be, that success will deliver another decisive blow to their credibility.
To the extent that they have any left outside of the Democratic base, that is. And make no mistake, they do retain some credibility with an influential segment of Independents, even though that credibility is getting sanded away.

One problem that the media faces in circumstances like this is that they can’t control what we see with our own eyes, and people’s eyes are glued to the spectacle. There is nothing like a spectacle to focus attention, and if this one ends with success and few casualties, no amount of spin will wipe out the images of Iranians celebrating in Tehran.

We saw what happened in Afghanistan. We saw what happened in Iraq and other conflicts. I think the key questions are to what extent can Iran maintain cohesion in terms of command and control, and to what extent it can maintain the ability to project strength and attacks.”
Trump’s war is with many foes at once.
Iran, obviously. Islamists, certainly. Internationalists, beyond doubt. China and Russia, who are already defeated in this battle.
And the media, for certain. If he wins the war cleanly, they lose big time.

When the dust settles, if it does so on a collapsed regime in Tehran, Trump’s victory over the Islamists will signal a victory over the transnationalists as well. Trump will have dismantled their decades-old policies and the credibility of any number of institutions.
Trump has made a risky bet here, and the initial successes do not guarantee ultimate strategic victory.
But I sure wouldn’t bet against Trump winning.
