Trump on more Epstein files: ‘NO MORE’

President Trump railed against the release of more documents relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after the Justice Department said it found more but would need weeks to publicize them.

“Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found. DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax,” Mr. Trump said Friday on social media. “When do they say NO MORE, and work on Election Fraud etc.”

He added, “The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country! The Radical Left doesn’t want people talking about TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS, only a long ago Jeffrey Epstein — Just another Witch Hunt!!!”

The president signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law last month, which directed the Justice Department to release all the documents it had on Epstein. It gave a Dec. 19 deadline, but the DOJ has since said more time is needed to properly go through everything before more forms are issued.

Friday’s release did not appease the lawmakers and victims who had called for the documents to be made public. The files were heavily redacted and didn’t include many that mentioned Mr. Trump.

Nearly 30,000 more pages pertaining to the Epstein case were released earlier this week after the department was criticized for not releasing all the documents by the deadline.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the FBI informed the department that “a million more documents” have been uncovered, “potentially related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.”

“We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible,” the department said.

The DOJ said the process may “take a few more weeks” due to the amount of documents.

“The Department will continue to fully comply with federal law and President Trump’s direction to release the files,” the department wrote.

The president at first argued that the documents should not be released, but later signed the law that set everything in motion. He has repeatedly called it a hoax, saying only Democrats are involved.
