This is hilarious.
As if the European Union needed one more thing to fret over helplessly, with their tiny pointed heads so close to exploding already. Only Donald Trump would keep piling it on.
He’s back to Greenland…and here they thought he’d forgotten, or gotten over it.
HEH
Trump never forgets.
And it’s squirm time.
Trump went ahead without consulting anyone and appointed a special envoy for Greenland. It’s almost like a Christmas heart attack for the spastic Brussels Brahmins, especially since he didn’t bother to tell the Danes about the appointment.
Who wants to ruin the present under the tree?
President Trump’s appointment of a special envoy for Greenland drew an angry response from Denmark and reignited its concerns about U.S. efforts to control the strategic Arctic territory.
Trump on Sunday appointed Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry as envoy for Greenland, an autonomous island that is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, saying on social media that Landry “understands how essential Greenland is to our National Security.”
Landry on X called it an honor to take up the voluntary position “to make Greenland a part of the U.S.”
Speaking to reporters Monday, Trump said Greenland was vital for the U.S.’s national security. “We need Greenland for national protection. They have a very small population. They say Denmark, but Denmark has spent no money. They have no military protection. They say Denmark was there 300 years ago or something with a boat,” he said.
“Well, we were there with boats too I’m sure….not for its minerals. If you look up and down the coast of Greenland, you can see Russian and Chinese ships all over the place.”
Denmark said it wasn’t informed about the appointment, adding to a sense in the Scandinavian nation that it is being kept in the dark about Washington’s real ambitions for Greenland, which constitutes 98% of the Kingdom’s territory.
Maybe they should pay closer attention to Greenland. Shoot – it wasn’t even until this past year that the king of Denmark even made the polar bear symbol for Greenland on his coat of arms big enough that you could see it.
Who are these guys kidding?
YES we do!

They never paid a lick of attention to it until Trump said we wanted it, and we know it.
Listen to Landry. Even a Cajun knows it.

There is also some warm sentiment on the island in favor of a US takeover.

The Danes do have their panties in a wad and are considering harsh language and a tantrum, while giving the US ambassador a stern talking to.
…“We have said it before. Now, we say it again. National borders and the sovereignty of states are rooted in international law,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said in a joint statement. “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders, and the U.S. shall not take over Greenland. We expect respect for our joint territorial integrity.”
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said he would summon the U.S. ambassador to express his discontent and demand an explanation for the appointment, which Rasmussen said came “out of nowhere.”
“I am very upset about the appointment and the statement, which I find completely unacceptable,” the foreign minister told broadcaster TV2.
The EU braintrust is closeted in panicked talks over the renewed threat to the frozen north and what to do.
There is a chance that the US will go after Greenland and Venezuela next year to gain access to vast rare-earth and oil reserves.
At the same time, Europe will assemble an expert commission to develop a plan for a climate- and gender-neutral approach to resources independence. pic.twitter.com/1KFpXPxTyp

Just kidding. They’re as clueless and impotent as ever.
Trump Says U.S. ‘Needs’ Greenland as EU Struggles to Respond
Once again, the valiant French have pledged their lives and military might to defend Greenland.
In Nuuk, I reaffirmed France’s unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Denmark and Greenland.

I’m guessing they’ll do so probably from the safety of France, but I’m no French military strategist.
If they could get further away, I’m sure they’d try, though, in all honesty, it’s white in Greenland right now, and that is kind of their unofficial national color.
This part of the plan has its drawbacks, though.

I don’t know – most of the Canadians still give me the willies.
