What Did Ilhan Omar Know About Minnesota's Billion-Benjamins Fraud? – HotAir

Ilhan Omar is one of the most brazen, racist, unapologetically anti-American elected officials I’ve ever seen, and that’s on any given regular day.

I tell you, the woman has really been earning the millions pouring into her bank account since the Somalis in Minneapolis sent her to Congress…what?





You didn’t hear about her phenomenal lucre accumulation skills?

In all honesty – which I’m assuming has nothing to do with how she managed it – Omar’s sudden and miraculous huge good fortune in office makes Nancy Pelosi’s long, careful slog to wealth and prosperity over decades look pathetic.

Her sob story about still paying off student debt aside, Omar and third hubby are living large – 3500% larger than they were just a year ago.

Millionaires are the new middle class. Once railed against by Democratic, progressive politicians, those whose worth sits comfortably in the seven-figure range are getting a pass from left-wing ire.

Why? Because many of the “fighters for the working people” are millionaires themselves.

Take Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar. The Democrat reported a net worth of up to $30 million in her latest financial disclosure, according to the New York Post. The doc, filed in May, found Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett, saw a roughly 3,500% increase in net worth last year, compared to 2023. The windfall was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon on Monday.

The financial gains came from Mynett’s two businesses, a Santa Rosa, Calif.-based winery and a venture capital firm headquartered in Washington, DC.

The Omar-Mynetts are living large, but not to hear the Squad member tell it. In February, she told Business Insider:

“Since getting elected, there has been a coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign claiming all sorts of wild things, including the ridiculous claim I am worth millions of dollars, which is categorically false.





Dang – that’s a neat trick if you can pull it off and act the victim to boot!

And of course it’s a ‘right-wing smear job,’ especially when it’s Omar’s own figures in Omar’s own financial disclosures.

How dare the right wing notice what she herself disclosed!

Nothing but political dirty tricks from the white supremacists on the right. Particularly the Jewish Nazis. They’re the absolute worst.

That’s what happens when Omar thinks about Stephen Miller. 

Particularly when the president’s advisor talks about how immigrants from failed states tend to both fail to assimilate and then recreate the chaotic conditions of their homeland wherever they immigrate to. Omar, a student of history that she is, employs the latest Democrat talking points that the Nazis also talked exactly like that. This is just like 1933 and the Jews! She insists everyone knows that Somalis in Minnesota have been model citizens. ‘Fabric of America,’ even.

Ergo, Stephen Miller is a Nazi.

Margaret Brennan plays a clip of Trump at the last cabinet meeting answering a reporter’s question about the Minnesota situation, and the president basically bluntly says, ‘These people come from nothing. Their country is hell, and all they’ve done is bitch since they’ve gotten here. Let them go back.’ I hadn’t heard the part where someone starts thumping the table, but the entire cabinet seems to erupt in affirmative thumps and claps, and Brennan gives Omar her shot at the ‘extraordinary statement from the highest office in the land.’





IT’S COMPLETELY DISGUSTING – THESE ARE AMERICANS HE IS CALLING GARBAGE

She really is a contrast in styles as far as who must welcome whom with open arms.

Even here in America, she maintains the tribal distinctions, basically calling for a tong war in Minneapolis during the last mayoral election because the wrong clan was messing her side’s plans up.

WE HAVE TO GET RID OF THEM

Almost as if the Somalis want and expect to be a kingdom unto themselves wherever they land.

Omar was gently pressed by an obviously uncomfortable Margaret Brennan (who is white and doesn’t want to be called a racist by Omar – but probably won’t because she’s not a man) on her thoughts about how the scandal over the billion dollars in fraudulent COVID funds was allowed to balloon to such enormous proportions. Brennan also notes that out of 87 people charged, all but 8 are ‘of Somali descent,’ which has ‘added to the spotlight specifically being put on your community,’ without mentioning a single other multibillion-dollar scandal.





Omar’s answer to ‘why was it allowed’ is that Somalis are victims, too, you know. And, gosh – ‘why doesn’t anyone ever think of how it hurt us?’!

SOMALIS COULD HAVE USED THAT MONEY

If only those people hadn’t stolen it.

…BRENNAN: “Of the 87 people charged, all but eight are of Somali descent. That added to the spotlight being put on your community. Why do you think this fraud was allowed to get so widespread?”

OMAR: “I want to say, you know, this also has an impact on Somalis, because we are taxpayers in Minnesota.”

“We also could have benefitted from the program and the money that was stolen.”

“It’s been really frustrating for people to not acknowledge the fact that we are also, as Minnesotans, as taxpayers really upset and angry about the fraud that has occurred.”

Poor, picked on Somalis.

Omar’s little criminal fiefdom there in Minnesota is under a microscope right now that, hopefully, includes her slimy dealings on a slide for examination, as well. The big three – Walz, Ellison, and Omar – have all been tapped for taking campaign cash from the Feeding Our Futures fraudsters. Omar is also the representative who introduced the legislation that made the fraud possible in the first place.

…Rep. Omar introduced the legislation which made the meals available while also holding parties and being friendly with the owner of Safari restaurant, which is embroiled in the scandal.

Her campaign took in $7,400 in donations from now-convicted fraudsters. The money was returned after the scandal broke in 2022, according to her campaign. She claims to have been completely unaware of the fraud.





Omar had plenty of issues that could complicate her life should anyone in the Justice Department do a deep dive…or even a shallow end dip would suffice, I’d imagine.

As Chris Rufo says, traditionally, immigrants assimilated, and as they did so and became Americans, it became incumbent upon them to root out the corrupt elements in their communities. He uses the example of Rudy Giuliani going after the Mafia.

What has happened in Minnesota, particularly Minneapolis, he says, is the exact opposite. Ilhan Omar and others are defending and protecting the criminals in their community who have been continually fleecing American taxpayers for billions. All while calling Americans racists and Nazis for demanding accountability while abusing our generosity.

Omar can squawk all she wants, and the more she does, and the more about what she and her clansmen have been doing the past thirty years or so that comes out, the more Americans will find out who really were the victims.

We already have a pretty good idea.

And we are going to demand a house cleaning, hopefully of epic proportions.
